TIMBER FIRST UK No.1 for 2014

"He's only gone and bloody dunnit Rodney!" As Del Boy would say! Yes, Pitbull and Kesha have maintained their chart position as UK's first number one single in the official charts in the UK. Congratulations to you both! Let's hope they hold until the end of next week, then the week after, and the one after that. It's going down!

I'M A FREAK!

Stay buckled up, those freaks are at it again! Pitbull and Enrique serve us another higher dose of their brand of freakism 

Produced by the Cateracs (it's the Cateracs!) Pitbull is reported to have described I'm A Freak as having an 'off the chain' house party sound. 

Feel good, playful, sexy and I particularly love the way the piano brings in Pitbull at the beginning and maintains the same key pattern and stands out dominantly throughout the song 

These freaks don't mince their words and tell us how it is with 'inviting' lyrics (no complaints from me!)  At one point Pitbull says "You know I lick/leak it and do the things that make you explode" POW! Enrique gives us his usual style of sex-on-song lyrics with his 'one track mind'

A Pitbull and Enrique combination is always a smash hit. Musically and visually!  Teasers of the video for the song had me in stitches of laughter. Can't wait for the official release of both.

TiMBER UK iTUNES No.1

It's going down! Those party animals Mr Worldwide and Kesha have hit the number one spot in the UK iTunes chart with Timber! Knocking off Pharrell Williams from the top spot  (he can't be too 'happy' about that!)

Timber was only available here since midnight Saturday 27th December and by the looks of it I wasn't the only one in the UK sitting anxiously in front of my laptop waiting to download the track. 

Pitbull's 'Give me everything' was also a number one hit here in the UK. 

One more shot and another round let's hang on that little bit more until the end of the week and hopefully get that first number one for 2014 in the UK number one chart!

No idea if you're going to see this but here goes...Congratulations Pitbull we love you! Lots of love, me and the rest of your fans in the UK - we got you! Always! Dale!

Jimmy Fallon Gets All Pitbull On Us !

Jimmy Fallon created a festive compilation album sketch of a seasonal Now Thats What I Call Christmas on Saturday Night Live. Amongst impressions of artists such as Michael Buble ( over pronouncing all of the words!), and a great one of Guns and Roses there was also an impersonation of our very own Pitbull. Kitted out in a white suit and blue shirt. A close match to Mr 303-Worldwide's gravel-like vocal opened up singing "Santa's in Miami" to I Know You Want Me. The sketch was quite impressive, funny and even had a collab with a fake Shakira. We even had the double kisses on the index and middle finger at the end!

Just goes to show, the best was left until the last where we had the the ultimate GOD of partying. Pitbull. All good fun and even Pitbull joked that Jimmy Fallon looked great bald in a Tweet.  Just one flaw - the dance moves!

Hilarious! Wish it lasted longer!

NOCHE NO TERMINA!

When Pitbull commands us to “no pare la fiesta!” this in turn would of course mean that la fiesta no termina and therefore neither does la noche as Mr Worldwide dropped us another anthem closer to the festive period.

With the utmost respect and loyalty that I have for the Lil'Chico, it is only right that I speak the truth straight from the heart and to say yes, Noche No Termina is infact a little different and that this track is not good. Yes, you read correct. I too can appreciate good music, but I LOVE great music and great music is what Mr WW and his team of various producers create, each and every time. Noche No Termina is NOT good. It is great!  If ever a day exists that I come to write that I'm not fond of a Pitbull song, then I hope that day stays away forever ( may need years of therapy!)

Noche No Termina has a warm energy and vibe coming through the song. I can imagine belting it out into it into the early hours of a New Years Eve party. Singing and swaying away with your friends enjoying the feel good factor of the song. Ay que rica nota for sure!

We not only have the standard women and drinks but also President Obama and Sofia Vergara thrown into the lyrics with the President's crib given a few mentions. Could it be 'next step la Casa Blanca' in more ways than one? Short steps as Pitbull mentions la Casa Blanca in more than one song, chums with Barak and engaging in the recent political rally I ask you "What is in PITBULL'S LONG VISION?" First Cuban-American President? Another political position? By the way, Whenever you do move in there Pit, you better make time to continue to give us the amazing music that you do. Your country needs you, the globe needs you and always remember-the world may be yours but YOU belong to US! 

Produced by Pitbull’s talented DJ Chino with Jorge Gomez (Agent who creates magic on the keyboards at Mr WW concerts!) No Termina made its debut on Fusion. A background in marketing and sales automatically throws me a step back to appreciate the outside, all around, over and under the box thinking. Leaving me in awe of his marketing team overall in all aspects from day one. More recently admiring the way Pitbull’s songs and videos make their debut on various strategic platforms away from the norm. Not only Noche No Termina via Fusion Entertainment, but also the Timber video which made its appearance on Pitbull’s Facebook page first and straight after his performance at the AMA’s AND with him hosting the show all night. Bam!

Noche No Termina is from Pitbull's second Spanish album due out at some point next year. What a treat! But until then 'Hoy bebida, la noche no termina'

GOING DOWN LIKE TIMBER?

It's all going down but is it all going on? Grab your harmonicas or just your partner and swing them round and round! The video to Timber has arrived.  Fans experienced a quadruple dose of Pitbull in a short timescale. Not only did we have Pitbull hosting the American Music Awards, a debut performance of Timber with Kesha on the show, we also had the premiere of the official Timber video straight after their performance on Facebook THEN the morning after we have the release of Pitbull's newest album Meltdown. THAT is some seriously sexy in-your-face marketing. Genius. Pitbull and Timber have now fully invaded. A sign to the Country music world that Pitbull has now arrived there too.

When Kesha kicks off the video by swinging open the doors of the Longhorn Saloon, you know it's going to be fun inside! Love it when we see Pitbull from behind (who doesn't?) as he walks into the saloon and upon arrival does the little squat and right foot scraping thing in Country/Western style. Easily missed in the distance so keep your eyes peeled!

Hot cowgirl dancers in hats, boots, tight denim shorts and with 'It's going down' across their black vests performed a flirtatious mix of Country line-dancing and possibly some kind of Texas two step as the jukebox labelled Timber blared out the hit. While Kesha and Pitbull do their thing somewhere inside and outside the bar at various locations. 

The Country and old West themed video sees a few other random combinations. Along with the cowgirls, horses, farm animals and saloons we also get ocean and sharks. 

There are endearing shots of Pitbull on a boat playing with sharks, however, Pitbull did not seem to be apprehensive. Must be the years of experience in dealing with such types in the business world! 

From water bombing to diving into the bottom of the ocean (to see if there's any Voli on a sunken boat wreck?) to frolicking in and under the sea playfully. All of this in a wet suit but not of the conventional type, but in HIS suit.

Inside the saloon Pitbull pulls off the Country look accessorised in a cowboy hat. The Lil'Chico looks like he is having a lot of fun in his new head gear. Outside of the saloon where would we be without Pitbull back in a suit. Known for his striking suit colour combinations, today we have pink on pink then blue on white. Pitbull can wear a bin bag for all I care and still make 'sexy' work.

Of course a Pitbull video would not be a Pitbull video without Mr WW frolicking somewhere with at least one mamita and so he does, on a beach. (Cue flashbacks of Rain On Me video).

The answer to the question is yes. It is all going on. With Pitbull getting wet in his suit, messing around in the sea, diving, playing with sharks and not to mention the cowboy hat, it is refreshing to see Pitbull engaging in a different 'style' of activities in this particular video to the norm. A fun, upbeat, Country and Western themed video with other things going on around it. Look out for the stunning and talented Dirty Southaners Country music artist Stephanie Heymann at the back end of the video too!  One more shot of Voli, another round, end of the night it's going down and as the harmonica continues to play in your head you'll be tapping your feet in no time. Country dancing even if you didn't know how to at the beginning of the video.

Just one question. Did the pig escape the farm to swim in the ocean?

PITBULL- OH SO SCENTual

Pitbull awakens another one of our five senses. Not satisfied by taking control of our ears with his music, our eyes with his gorgeousness & product endorsements wherever we look. Pitbull is about to take control of our sense of smell too as Mr Worldwide teams up with Givaudan and announces the creation of two new fragrances for women and men, named Pitbull.

Pitbull for Men consists of bergamot, sage, violet, mandarin and musk to name a few. 
Packaging for both male and female is simple, effective and elegant. The Pitbull for men bottle is in black. Almost as if dressed in Mr Worldwide's signature suit colour. Inspiration of the shape of the long bottles for both scents appear to have come from Pitbull's travels where he came across mighty buildings such as in Shanghai, Malaysia and also Dubai (where the next building built is likely to be taller and greater than the last!) Pitbull is reported to want the shape of the bottles to express "simplicity, sexy, powerful"

Pitbull's fragrance for the mamitas is packaged in white containing a blend of vanilla, raspberry, mandarin, nectarine blossom, freesia, apple, jasmine, musk creamy woods and amber. Despite being one of those women that have a select few yet always comes back to a 'signature' scent, I may well be converted into giving it a sniff and mixing it up just by the sound of some of the ingredients. Who am I kidding? Maybe a whole crate shipped in for the love of Pit!

Further inspiration into breaking into the fragrance market has come from growing up in a female-dominated household. Pitbull is reported to have said that being raised by his mother who Pitbull also says was his father, Pitbull would be surrounded by great scents when he was even more of a Lil' Chico and intrigued by the way he used to see his mother mix them according to her outfits. Pitbull is also said to have disclosed the fact that he likes to mix and match a few fragrances together himself and see what this attracts and see's himself as a walking focus group. 

Although officially to be unveiled at Mr Worldwide's New Years Eve concert in his hometown at the American Airlines Arena, pre-sales start on the 1st December ( you know what to get as a 'somewhere around Christmas' gift or place a copy of this as a subtle hint in front of someone!)

We knew It was just a matter of time before we see a Pitbull fragrance- three years ago I imagined it's name as 'Armando' with the name and logo in soft italics. Nevertheless move over Beck's, Pitbull fragrances are on the way! What's next? Apart from having those piercing eyes on fashion, accessories and beauty products, in line with Pitbull's globe trotting there seems to be a line up of new brand extensions of the fragrance covering various locations Mr Worldwide has been to. Starting off in his hometown in the 305 with Pitbull Miami (2015) Pitbull Rio(2016) Pitbull Berlin and let's give it up for the the two words I love to see sitting next to each other with the 'in' missing in between - Pitbull London!
