GOING DOWN LIKE TIMBER?

It's all going down but is it all going on? Grab your harmonicas or just your partner and swing them round and round! The video to Timber has arrived.  Fans experienced a quadruple dose of Pitbull in a short timescale. Not only did we have Pitbull hosting the American Music Awards, a debut performance of Timber with Kesha on the show, we also had the premiere of the official Timber video straight after their performance on Facebook THEN the morning after we have the release of Pitbull's newest album Meltdown. THAT is some seriously sexy in-your-face marketing. Genius. Pitbull and Timber have now fully invaded. A sign to the Country music world that Pitbull has now arrived there too.

When Kesha kicks off the video by swinging open the doors of the Longhorn Saloon, you know it's going to be fun inside! Love it when we see Pitbull from behind (who doesn't?) as he walks into the saloon and upon arrival does the little squat and right foot scraping thing in Country/Western style. Easily missed in the distance so keep your eyes peeled!

Hot cowgirl dancers in hats, boots, tight denim shorts and with 'It's going down' across their black vests performed a flirtatious mix of Country line-dancing and possibly some kind of Texas two step as the jukebox labelled Timber blared out the hit. While Kesha and Pitbull do their thing somewhere inside and outside the bar at various locations.

The Country and old West themed video sees a few other random combinations. Along with the cowgirls, horses, farm animals and saloons we also get ocean and sharks.

There are endearing shots of Pitbull on a boat playing with sharks, however, Pitbull did not seem to be apprehensive. Must be the years of experience in dealing with such types in the business world!

From water bombing to diving into the bottom of the ocean (to see if there's any Voli on a sunken boat wreck?) to frolicking in and under the sea playfully. All of this in a wet suit but not of the conventional type, but in HIS suit.

Inside the saloon Pitbull pulls off the Country look accessorised in a cowboy hat. The Lil'Chico looks like he is having a lot of fun in his new head gear. Outside of the saloon where would we be without Pitbull back in a suit. Known for his striking suit colour combinations, today we have pink on pink then blue on white. Pitbull can wear a bin bag for all I care and still make 'sexy' work.

Of course a Pitbull video would not be a Pitbull video without Mr WW frolicking somewhere with at least one mamita and so he does, on a beach. (Cue flashbacks of Rain On Me video).

The answer to the question is yes. It is all going on. With Pitbull getting wet in his suit, messing around in the sea, diving, playing with sharks and not to mention the cowboy hat, it is refreshing to see Pitbull engaging in a different 'style' of activities in this particular video to the norm. A fun, upbeat, Country and Western themed video with other things going on around it. Look out for the stunning and talented Dirty Southaners Country music artist Stephanie Heymann at the back end of the video too!  One more shot of Voli, another round, end of the night it's going down and as the harmonica continues to play in your head you'll be tapping your feet in no time. Country dancing even if you didn't know how to at the beginning of the video.

Just one question. Did the pig escape the farm to swim in the ocean?

PITBULL- OH SO SCENTual

Pitbull awakens another one of our five senses. Not satisfied by taking control of our ears with his music, our eyes with his gorgeousness & product endorsements wherever we look. Pitbull is about to take control of our sense of smell too as Mr Worldwide teams up with Givaudan and announces the creation of two new fragrances for women and men, named Pitbull.

Pitbull for Men consists of bergamot, sage, violet, mandarin and musk to name a few.
Packaging for both male and female is simple, effective and elegant. The Pitbull for men bottle is in black. Almost as if dressed in Mr Worldwide's signature suit colour. Inspiration of the shape of the long bottles for both scents appear to have come from Pitbull's travels where he came across mighty buildings such as in Shanghai, Malaysia and also Dubai (where the next building built is likely to be taller and greater than the last!) Pitbull is reported to want the shape of the bottles to express "simplicity, sexy, powerful"

Pitbull's fragrance for the mamitas is packaged in white containing a blend of vanilla, raspberry, mandarin, nectarine blossom, freesia, apple, jasmine, musk creamy woods and amber. Despite being one of those women that have a select few yet always comes back to a 'signature' scent, I may well be converted into giving it a sniff and mixing it up just by the sound of some of the ingredients. Who am I kidding? Maybe a whole crate shipped in for the love of Pit!

Further inspiration into breaking into the fragrance market has come from growing up in a female-dominated household. Pitbull is reported to have said that being raised by his mother who Pitbull also says was his father, Pitbull would be surrounded by great scents when he was even more of a Lil' Chico and intrigued by the way he used to see his mother mix them according to her outfits. Pitbull is also said to have disclosed the fact that he likes to mix and match a few fragrances together himself and see what this attracts and see's himself as a walking focus group.

Although officially to be unveiled at Mr Worldwide's New Years Eve concert in his hometown at the American Airlines Arena, pre-sales start on the 1st December ( you know what to get as a 'somewhere around Christmas' gift or place a copy of this as a subtle hint in front of someone!)

We knew It was just a matter of time before we see a Pitbull fragrance- three years ago I imagined it's name as 'Armando' with the name and logo in soft italics. Nevertheless move over Beck's, Pitbull fragrances are on the way! What's next? Apart from having those piercing eyes on fashion, accessories and beauty products, in line with Pitbull's globe trotting there seems to be a line up of new brand extensions of the fragrance covering various locations Mr Worldwide has been to. Starting off in his hometown in the 305 with Pitbull Miami (2015) Pitbull Rio(2016) Pitbull Berlin and let's give it up for the the two words I love to see sitting next to each other with the 'in' missing in between - Pitbull London!

TIMBER!

It’s party O’Clock as Pitbull teams up with Kesha for a hot new track. Mr 'Don’t stop the party'
collaborates with Miss 'Tik Tok on the clock but the party don’t stop' to bring us Timber.

The eagerly anticipated single from Pitbull’s up and coming eighth studio album had left fans
practically gagging for more on social networks as Pitbull teased, and teased, and then some
more with tweets of updates and other taster elements within the song before its release.

Produced by Dr Luke, Cirkut and Sermstyle, Timber is infectious and will have your toes tapping
in no time. A harmonica makes an introduction and plays throughout. It swiftly becomes very clear
that we have some kind of 'movement' as Pitbull and Kesha go down the route of getting a little
‘country’ on us! I'm not sure if anyone else had the same momentary confusion, but I couldn't work
out whether I wanted to bust out some country moves with a bit of line dancing and clap away or
pop a hip hop dance move along the way. In the end I just went with the flow. Like enjoying two
new ice-cream flavour combinations I have not yet not tasted before.

Pitbull is as always 'slicker than an oil slick' with his innuendo fuelled lyrics. Let's just say it’s a bit
more than swinging your partner round and round just on the dance floor and talking about the
usual wood in the purest context (don’t worry I will keep it clean!)

Pitbull and Kesha are an interesting and complimentary combination. Both love to party. Both seem
to have a great sense of humour and perhaps one more outwardly wilder than the other. Both have
collaborated in the past with ‘Girls’ and ‘Crazy Kids.’

"It's.About.To.Go.Down" and in the words of Jay Z ‘Just give it to me’ as I can't get enough of
listening to Timber today

Seize The Night!

A Pitbull and Honorebel collaboration is always something to look forward to. The duo also happen to be a personal favourite with previous hits such as Now You See It and I Wanna.
Seize The Night sweeps Pitbull into some seriously smooth reggae flava. Mr Worldwide has perhaps dipped his toe in the ocean of ‘island music’ and songs with artists such as Machel Montano and Sean Paul yet this is possibly the first time Pitbull has really ventured into the reggae vibe.
Co-produced by Swedish electronic mavericks Erick Rydmark and Sven Landholm, Seize The Night seizes your senses and just makes you want to dance. A delightful rhythm. If you live in London, it's a nice warm up to the upcoming Notting Hill Carnival Bank Holiday Weekend.
Although having songs with legendary reggae artists, like Pitbull, Honorebel is also known to explore different genres and share the same vision of a varied approach to music. Dabbling in different sounds from reggae, techno pop to hip hop. Both have known each other since their days under the wing of Uncle Luke. The song is featured on Honorebel's forthcoming album Honor Roll due out in October.
Honorebel "Want us to live for the moment and seize the night" and Pitbull has a motto of wanting us to "Feel This Moment" A perfect outlook, a perfect match.  With that said, "It's not my fault” that I just can't stop moving to this track. It’s Honorebel and Pitbull, I blame them! It's smooth, sensual and sexy. A hot summer night track (with a ‘cool breeze!’) Addictive enough that having finally turned off the song, it still continues to play out in your head. I'm definitely ready for some more and to take it to the dance floor!

PITBULL ROCKS LONDON

As featured on Planetpit.com

Pitbull blew the roof off and heated the up the London O2 Brixton Academy with his unique brand of Global Warming on Saturday 3rd August. But not before an exciting build up by announcing his imminent arrival and tweeting a photo of Big Ben en route to the venue, letting his loyal Londoners know that HRH LORD WORLDWIDE is nearby and ready to get the party started.

Mr Worldwide gave a spectacular, explosive and energetic performance and drove the crowd WILD. Too wild for one young lady who threw what appeared to be her thong at Pitbull during the show. To which Pit reacted as he does with many things, with humour and gratitude and put it in his pocket!

Pitbull wowed the crowd with numbers like Bon Bon, Rain Over me, Esta Loca, International Love, Danza Kuduro and encouraged the crowd to look forward positively towards 2014 by getting down to Echa Pa'lla and commanding us to sube las manos pa'arriba and onto sube sube hasta las nubes demonstrating just how he can Shut It Down.

Pitbull '305 till I die' reminded the crowd of his beloved hometown by belting out an adapted version as 'I'm From Miami B****' earlier on in the show. Not limiting himself to just spinning around the globe at the speed of the animated Tasmanian devil, Pitbull took us for a quick spin in a time machine by taking us Back In Time with his Men In Black 3 track, a little forward on the timeline onto a vacation with Shake Senora and back in time again to Shake (mentirosa) to drive the old school Pit fans out there nuts. The one signature song that sent me back in time with an overwhelming, almost euphoric level of nostalgia was Culo. Game over! From back in time in different contexts to back to singing about meeting at the Hotel Room, Pitbull always delivers.

Being worldwide means only world-class musicians can help you raise the roof. Pitbull's band The Agents were spectacular and spot on as always. The percussions were flawless and sharp as ever, hitting those 'dance nerves' rooted deeply in your body. You could 'feel' the music and that is what it's all about. Omar Tavarez, Papayo, David Palma, Motiff and the rest of the band along with Chino all absolutely rocked the place.

This is not just any concert. This is a Pitbull concert and Worldwide tongue was just hanging out! Having been to all previous UK shows you can see just how much the concert, production and flow has evolved. On this tour London saw the introduction of Pitbull's The Most Bad Ones. The gorgeous and talented dancers, which were hard to miss. We also saw Pitbull remove his sunglasses as he gave us everything and all of him as he began to sing the obvious Give Me Everything. Perhaps he heard us wanting to see more of those beautiful eyes.

One of the many other things I personally loved was the expression on Pitbull's face as he paused to smile, inhale and absorb the cheering and appreciation of the crowd at the end of each song. You can almost see the little boy in him at times, it's so endearing. Mr Worldwide is also Mr Genre-wide and gave us more samples of different song types such as The Beastie Boys (You gotta) Fight For Your Right To Party as a clever introduction to Don't Stop The Party. We had Eye of the Tiger as an introduction to Feel This Moment and many more. It was a pleasure to hear these 'breaks and appropriate samples' amongst many others mixed within and between songs.

Pitbull talked a little about haters and not paying attention to such likes, asking the crowd what they thought that he thought of his haters. Cue an outburst of 'I Don't Care' by Icona Pop. Which was a great response and humorous diffuser. I don't care, I love it. Bring it on! I say, Pitbull, let the haters just add more fuel to your success. There is much more love from your fans than haters out there to cancel out negativity towards you. They can't touch you, we got you!

As the exciting night is over and Pitbull's car is being crazily chased down the street by girls screaming his name (and NO, it wasn't me!), it's time for Mr Worldwide to catch another flight to another country for another show.

Pitbull, you're the best. So much to say and so little time to say it. It was an absolute pleasure....Thank you. Thank you for an amazing show and we hope to see you back in London quicker than you can say "Dale!" in a camera-shot. And as the song goes 'I Hope We Meet Again ' and I can steal a few more hugs off you!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT VIDEO

As featured on Planetpit.com

I can't believe it, there's ass everywhere! The boys from Miami linked up once again to promote and fly the flag loud and proud for the ladies with extra junk in their trunk. JLO and Nikki should be proud of you Gents!

The song is itself is very infectious and complimented even further by a cracking video set in an animated Miami. Cracking and screenfuls of (butt) cracks to be precise with many of them cleverly blended into the landscape. This eye catching, fun and cheeky video directed by Geremy and George Legs also reminds and makes me think of a hotter and modern version of Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-A-Lot, especially at the beginning.

We all know the Lil' chico was Lil' but this time he was completely dwarfed by the size of the butt he was dancing on, yet seemed to be enjoying it very much so. Pitbull wears what appears to be black leather gloves for some reason -to get a good grip perhaps? We all know it would not be a Pitbull song without Mr Worldwide injecting his sense of humour that we love so much with lyrics like "Call me Michael Jackson 'cos I like to play with the monkey." Pitbull seemed quite content and in his element! Giant butts, a Flo-Spider butt, even an ice-cream butt with Flo calling himself Robin as he Baskin' himself in load of ass. Shaking butts, black butts, white butts.

Very cheeky, a little naughty but all in good taste. Even some of the alligators escaped from the Everglades to drop by and see what all the fuss was about ....Bubble-yum-bum, Baram, bum, baram

PITBULL GOES FROM DADE TO DESI!

This is what happens when you mix Indian with ample sprinkles of Cuban American -you get Exotic (enough to give a bowl of mangoes and papaya an inferiority complex) All the teaser promos of the Exotic video certainly did not disappoint. Mr Worldwide teamed up with former Miss World and Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra creating one sexy 'masala mojito'.

From Dade to Desi, It's impressive that Pitbull knows what the phrase Desi means. Predominantly in English, Priyanka throws a little Desi mirch into the mix with some Hindi and in my best attempt to try and translate sings, "When I saw you, you took my life. This foreign guy has tamed/taken/made this Desi heart understand"

Filmed in Miami and directed by Emil Nava the video begins with a gorgeous care free Priyanka basking around in the ocean among the sounds of the sea and seagulls but that soon changes in a quick hair-flick, realising she needs more cooling down because of feeling so hot and exotic and so makes her way to meet Pitbull somehow (don't think that's going to cool you down!).

From dancing with Mr Worldwide in a skin tight metallic gold dress, Priyanka disappears for a while to let Pit kick back with 'boat loads of women' situated around his chair and popping in and out, kicking the rest of them out to sit solo on the arm of his chair singing away whilst Pit immerses himself in the moment and beat. The video, progresses to a pool side with the former Miss World in a funky old school neon beach top and black high waist hot pants and shocks us by strutting straight into the pool with her shades and studded pink stiletto-ed shoe-boot still on. What the?! Reports suggest that custom made Louboutins were made for the shoot and more than just one pair (I’d love to see Christian Louboutin's face when he saw the video at the point where she walks out of the pool wearing them, oh Mon Dieu!) Night dawns and Priyanka gets her girls to do a bit of 'group-dancing' amongst palm trees and a bit of misty greenery. I love the part near the end with the ladies sitting down and busting out in upper body Bollywood dance moves. (Spotted the Tia Maria but looking around for the Voli in the Bolly!)

Priyanka was sexy, sassy and her usual sultry self, I'm surprised that it wasn't Pitbull that needed cooling down in the ocean. Priyanka's vocals were exceptional too (I didn't know she sounded THAT good!). Top producer RedOne produced this Exotic and infectious number and has bagged the job of producing the rest of her album.

Even if Pitbull says he can't dance (I've seen you bust out in some Cuban salsa steps on stage Mister!) this song and video has a lot of Bollywood flavour which means lots of dancing, locations and unprecedented amounts of costume changes and we did see a fair bit of that going on too. Talking of costumes and styles, I was drawn to a colour I do not think I have seen Mr Worldwide in before and am loving the blazer with a touch of teal which really complimented Pitbull. Que RRRRIIICO!

Worldwide by name, worldwide by nature. Pitbull is always pushing boundaries in music, fashion and business. It's not common knowledge that Pitbull was known and played in the clubs of Mumbai years before he was recognised in the UK (while I was being every DJ's nightmare rolling up to them relentlessly requesting that they play Culo to make me go away!). With this recent move into dipping his toe into Hindi music and performing at the IPL, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we saw an appearance in a Bollywood movie. I really do believe that there is a HUGE market for our Pit there in terms if brand endorsements especially (Reliance, Tata where you guys at!)

Pitbull has his usual attention grabbing play on words in the song and I randomly thought I'd have a go so here is my freestyle (humour me!)

"Like Bon Jovi they want you 'dead or alive'..
We love your energy, spirit and drive..
Your music is our drug on which we thrive..
From Dade to Desi reppin' the 305!"

On that note, I scream "Cool me doooown" The video was too hot and I think the lyrics hit it the nail on the head at "If you wanna see the world, I suggest you come with me" Hey Pit! Wait up!

Holly misses concert to bring Skylar-Rose Dowell into the world - Pitbull's biggest baby fan!

(As featured on Planetpit.com)
Imagine the excitement of knowing that you are going to see Pitbull for the very first time in concert only a week away and soon after that looking forward to giving birth to a beautiful baby (fella’s you can try and pretend the latter!). In that order precisely. Now imagine if it happened the other way around and you had to miss the concert! This is exactly what happened to Holly Dowell from Australia.
Holly has been a huge fan of Pitbull for many years and was looking forward to catching Mr Worldwide in action. Is it possible that the thought of seeing Pitbull in concert for the very first time could have been enough excitement to go into labour earlier than expected? And giving birth to gorgeous baby Skylar-Rose Dowell. Maybe we should forget about tried and tested labour inducing techniques and plug into listening to Pitbull instead?
It could also be that Holly has stumbled upon a remedy to ease morning sickness, that is Pitbull’s music!  Holly says that when the effects of morning sickness kicked in she would lie down and listen to his music which would help. When Holly noticed that baby was unsettled in the womb, listening to Pitbull would relax mother and baby and both would be a lot calmer very quickly! Along with this fact, it became a family joke that Holly’s baby would be born dancing along to Pitbull in the labour room  (Cue: Hey Baby, Baby la-la-la-la-la-la-laa?)
Today, Skylar-Rose is ten months old and much like her mother is a dedicated Pitbull fan, and was a fan before she even arrived to meet the rest of the world! Perhaps Skylar-Rose rushed to get here as if to say "Mother how dare you go to see Pitbull without me!" Holly plays Pitbull in the car to settle Skylar-Rose on long trips and she falls asleep instantly into deep sleep. But still tuned into Pitbull enough to wake up crying if you dare change the music or turn it off.  Skylar-Rose is also happiest bopping her head along to ‘Back In Time’ and risks something close to baby-whiplash whilst watching Pitbull’s video clips.  Skylar-Rose is aware of Pitbull from before she was even born, his music, his voice, leading mummy Holly to joke with her that Pitbull is secretly her father as she loves and recognises him so much from an early age. It is fair to say that baby Skylar-Rose is one of Pitbull's biggest, loyal, youngest yet oldest fans starting from pre-birth.
By looking at Holly and Skylar-Rose's story, Pitbull, there may even be new, crazy, ‘outside the box’ business opportunities in the mommy market! Labour inducing approaches, morning sickness after-effect remedies, special edition CD with selected Pitbull tunes to settle babies and lullaby them to sleep and also quite the opposite, Pitbull Baby Road Trip in-car selection of tunes to keep the little ones entertained and maybe even audio/video story-telling books for toddlers because we all know your voice and energy stops us in our tracks, whatever age you are!  When you get a chance please could you also get yourself down under to Australia soon as possible. Holly refuses to get pregnant the second time round until she has seen you live in concert, just in case!

IT’S PitEpic!!!

 (As featured on Planetpit.com)
The ‘epic’ wait is finally over! The highly anticipated fantastical animated movie featuring our very own Pitbull making his debut on the big screen as Bufo the frog is currently well underway! Hopefully everyone has seen Epic by now? But if you haven’t then don’t worry, I promise not to spoil anything for you!
EPIC is a story based on The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs by William Joyce. In a nutshell, the animated adventure is a story about a "battle deep in the forest between the forces of good and evil." Where a young girl by the name of Mary Katherine (M.K!) finds herself transported into a secret miniature world she believed did not exist where she is involved in helping a team of characters to save the forest world. The film is directed by Chris Wedge who also directed Ice Age. This magical film awakens your inner child with the storyline and characters whilst the striking graphics jump out from the screen, grab you back into it and whisk you away on an exciting three dimensional ride zooming in and around the forest, most probably on the back of a Kingfisher-like bird! It is a lovely family film where all can enjoy and not just us fans that are Pitbull crazy (instead you can also get your whole family tree into watching the adventures of the forest with our favourite frog!). With plenty of amusing dialogues along with some serious and ouch moments, it is a delight to watch and even more delightful as you can feel your face light up and smile reaching from ear to ear the moment Bufo arrives on screen.
Bufo is a witty and smart frog who also comes with words of wisdom highlighting the importance of working together “It’s called teamwork” Dressed very appropriately in line with Pitbull’s wardrobe in something close to a suit for frogs. It’s amazing how you can see some of Pitbull’s cheeky mannerisms, business and hustling elements in the character too.
The story is a battle between good and bad. Stretch your imagination a little further and think of the ways in which Pitbull has gone about his career the way he carries himself, this ethics and beliefs the good way as he travels through the industry where the devil knows he “…ain’t got no number” and a reminder of why they call him Mr Worldwide as he “learnt from the best, stayed away from the worst” and turned his life from “ negative to positive” by choosing the good side of not only the choices in life but also the ‘unsaid’ battle deep down in the forest of the music industry by doing things the good way and without getting burnt and being a prime focus under the radar of the baddies!
It a recent Planet Pit feature where Pitbull discusses his movie, Pitbull let’s us know that he can’t wait for his kids to watch it and hear his voice, see their faces when they realise its really their daddy. I have to say Pitbull, you should also expect a load of your other Big Kid Fans like myself to be mesmerised by the sounds of your attention grabbing tones and script. A voice nicely matched to the character. Pitbull also indicated in another promotional interview that it was a “Great learning experience just to see something that how you’re recording and how you take your emotion and bring it to life” Whilst also finding it an honour to be amongst other great stars such as Colin Farrell and also Beyonce with a thought linked to a lyric belonging to the Queen Bey’s husband Jay-Z “We ain’t even supposed to be here.”  You can see his delight, humbleness and appreciation of this opportunity. Nothing taken for granted. Absolutely nothing. Amazing how sometimes we can time to time see the child coming out in Pitbull too and not just things around Epic. Keep a look out and you will see...
Pitbull, I think we can all agree that you really are a very good looking frog indeed and a relief to know you Don’t Stop the Party in the forest and are not a ‘pooper of parties’ there.
Epic was a pleasure to watch and even more enjoyable to see how Pitbull brings the character of Bufo to life and making me feel like a big kid and escaping into child like limitless imagination again. Just what we all need from time to time, it’s no fun being a grown up all the time!
I have one more question in mind, just like in the fairytales do you think perhaps if there was a scene at the end where Bufo the frog was to be given a kiss by a suitable queen or princess like character, would he then turn into Prince Pitbull and begin a whole new sequel adventure and take this plot to knock onto another great animated film the Adventures of Pitbull … Let’s take that thought and run with our imaginations again! Thanks Pitbull. Enjoyable watching. Although Pitbull has associations in the past with films such as Fast and Furious 4 and 5, Hangover 2 and Back in Time 3 it feels like there will be a further and stronger string of films for Mr World Wide on the horizon whether they are soundtrack or acting/character associations (Anyone else hear We Run The Night with Pitbull and Havana Brown in the promo of The Smurfs out soon?)
“The magic of Pitbull…you can feel it. Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean its not there…Dale!”

PITBULL: A Message Through The Dr Pepper Commercial

As featured on Planetpit.com

The new Dr Pepper commercial begins with images of a gorgeous little Pitbull. Images which are all so familiar even to us Pitbull fans with his mother, father and family. Accompanied by his song Outta Nowhere with Jamie Drastik and Danny Mercer, a voiceover by Pitbull goes on to point out that “Millions of people grow up in a family of immigrants but not everyone stops at nothing to reach their dream”, whilst showing the viewers another sequence of segments of his incredible journey. Starting as young puppy Pitbull, graduating to leader of the pack as the underdog of Miami to becoming the top dog of the world, we see images from his early days rapping, writing, even a trip to the barbershop and of course it would not be complete without a trip to his concert!
Watching the commercial I get a sense of an overwhelming emotion from the pit (no pun intended!) of my stomach, but in a good way. Being amongst his hardcore fans and supporting Pitbull, his music, watching his empire as it grows and continues to flourish from afar, I’m filled with nothing less than with happiness and pride like a proud parent would to see where he is now. It’s not the just the photographs of his life and achievements that are touching but also the impact of the lyrics of the song Outta Nowhere and how they reflect his life, thoughts and attitude.
Apart from what a quenching one of its kind drink Dr Pepper is, in the commercial lies a message. A clear message, example and PROOF to all those that grow up just like him as part of a family of immigrants that there is nothing stopping them from reaching their ambitions. It’s no secret that Pitbull had tough time growing up but he is everything his mama was, a ‘rider, survivor, a motherf******’ fighter’ and an inspiration to all those who are living similar backgrounds today. I stress and will say it again, that it’s also a clear message, example and proof yet again for anyone else. A message that dreams are for those that sleep. So WAKE UP and make them happen whoever you are. Pitbull educates and instils us with his core life skill values which I think could be said as Pitbull’s Three P’s of achieving your ambitions which we know he has applied throughout his life. These are Passion, Patience and Perseverance (Don’t forget the Pitbull OAA CODE: Observe, Absorb and Apply!).
Hustle relentlessly, get addicted to the hustle to make it happen until you can repeat Pitbull’s words and sing “..I hustle anything you name it (name it!)” Keep chasing your passion with perseverance and hang in there with patience knowing your hard work will pay off and make sure the devil knows you ain’t got no number and do it without selling your soul, but with honestly and integrity. To stop placing blocks in your path before even starting the journey or by looking over your shoulder at where you are starting and forget the ‘how’ and replace it ‘I believe’. To replace any fear with curiosity and chase down that dream like it’s the last bus home for the night! Any time you falter be reminded of Pitbull’s message: “ A dream is for those who sleep, I LIVE mine...I’m Pitbull and I’m one of a kind…Dale!” And once you’re well on your way, maybe after you can also sing ‘Can’t Stop Me Now’ too and keep living the dream for real.
Pitbull you have always inspired me and I think it’s safe to say pretty much most of us fans. You have further encouraged me to keep on pushing hard for living the dream, to be seen and heard and to keep working hard and knocking on that door of opportunity.
Pitbull always says without his fans there would be no Pitbull. It could also be said that without Pitbull there would be no icon to offer genuine inspiration, encouragement and endless enjoyment brought into our hearts through his music not to mention the sore achey feet afterwards from all the dancing to it! Thanks Pitbull! From where Mr Worldwide started to conquering the music scene globally, Pitbull truly is one of a kind and if we all apply Pitbull’s advice then we too can enjoy the distinctive taste of sweet success by drinking a Dr Pepper on Miami Beach too!

HOT DAMN! HERE WE GO AGAIN! Crank it up and let the beat take over and get moving to DJ Mesta and Robbie F’s Hot new remix of Pitbull, Sophia Del Carmen and Gabry Ponte's Beat On My Drum.

Going back for just a moment to the original song itself, my ears automatically tune in and break through the initial surface of the track to unravel some of the underlying beats, flow and momentum of Pitbull's Calle Ocho which also makes it enjoyable and like Pit say’s, however, in a different context, you can “..have fun with two!” In contrast, this MegaBeatz remix grabs the song and steers it into a different direction altogether and sweeps you more towards the electronic dance music side.

It is a very smooth and sensual dance remix indeed, with added 'Ibizaesque' qualities. Sexy, fresh, electric and urging you to dance fiercely and with passion, a bit like the flamenco dancers in the video! The rhythm and sound of the synth leaves your mind following throughout with the anticipation of it coming back around to repeat the pattern. A personal favourite part of the track is at the beginning where there is a distinctive moment when everything gradually fades out and shuts down temporarily to make way for Sophia Del Carmen to sing a prolonged "Ven damelo ya!" Just before the beat kicks off again.

Pitbull was not kidding when he warned us about a new wave of Italians coming when the Fiat commercial got underway! These two DJ’s in particular are making their way to the electronic dance front as MegaBeatz. One half of the remix
pioneers of this song is DJ Mesta, also known as Italy's Finest. DJ, producer and a Best International DJ nominee, DJ Mesta whose name means 'mix' in ancient Latin is no stranger to remixing songs by Pitbull and has also had Prince Albert of Monaco dance away to one of his sets and if you fancy doing the same then all you need to do is drop me an email on bookingsdjmesta@gmail.com

Robbie F an innovative DJ and producer, is the other half of this duo repping Italy too and working his way through the dance, electro and house circuit. From starting his own band at the age of fifteen to recognising the dance music mania about to hit the country. Robbie F is renowned for this house sets whilst taking direction into the electronic dance music scene.

With this mix...You wanna drive me crazy, baby?..Please...I'll just let
you Haha! Sube la la musica! LOUDER!

PITBULL PERFORMS AT THE IPL!

As featured on Planet Pit

I got ONE word for you my fellow Pitbull fans, and that is 'WOW!' Just when you thought it really wasn't possible for Pitbull to be any more impressive and bring the house down, he has gone and done it once again, putting on a spectacular performance power packed with PITBULLOSITY immeasurably off the scale!

For those that don't know, IPL stands for Indian Premier League (not Intense Pulse Light!) For me and I imagine a lot of us, it also stands for Inimitable Pitbull Legend and I was in awe when I heard Pitbull was going to perform at the Indian cricket tournament in Kolkata which is now running in it's sixth season.

Word on the street is that once invited, it only took Pitbull a matter of minutesto agree to perform at the IPL which is a LOT MORE TIME THAN it took for me to park my culo in the best seat in the house at the 'IPL Opening Ceremony Party' around the big TV screen hosted by pretty much most of the blokes in the family, extended family and whoever else likes cricket living within a five mile radius! Yes, incase you haven't figured it out yet although born and raised in the UK, my roots are Indian. So I get asked "Err WHY are YOU sitting here watching the IPL?...You don't watch cricket!" Eventually, they tweaked the reason why I gate crashed the Cobra Beer 'n' samosa party, as my sixty year old uncle exclaimed in his accent "OOOH LOOK! Your Peeet-bull is on tele...haavay khaabar padi! " (Translation: Oh because Pitbull is on! Now we know why you sitting here hogging the seat, drinking our beer & nibbling on our grub and after he has finished performing p*** off and leave us to it!)

Pitbull opened up so very appropriately rapping away “Why you think they call me Mr Worldwide?” Enough said! What is it Pit says? "Don't talk about it, be about it" And he is definitely BEING Mr Worldwide and reaching audiences as far as Kolkata. The guy is back in India where they love him so affectionately. True to himself yet again and as his lyrics go in Sexy People ‘That's why all opportunities...me lo como -I eat 'em!' I'm guessing that when Pitbull hears King Khan of Bollywood and co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) caaalllliiing..He must have heard his inner Indian spirit faaaalling and jumped on a jet to India!

Breaking into Hey Baby soon after, I don't think even DJ Chino could contain his excitement at performing in the city of dreams and was caught out many times by the cameras during Pit's performance gleaming, smiling and delightfully punching his hand the air to the sounds whilst taking care of the tracks of course. It was really enjoyable to watch Chino and the rest of the team on stage enjoying themselves, bringing the stage alive and refreshing to see the cameras getting more shots of all The Agents too and giving them the time, close ups and credits that they too deserve - Yea we see you Papayo, Jorge, David, Leo and you too Omar happily drumming away! Happy Birthday!

The Agents go into an incredible build up with what sounded like a Lenny Kravitz style 'are you goin my way' intro before going into a Pitbull version if Sexy and you now it! You guys are awesome, I wish I was there to hear the sounds in the raw. I salute you!

Pitbull sang more of his signature tracks such as International Love and went on engaging the crowds even more by demanding that they answer as he asks them“ What I wanna know is do you want to stop the party?…DO YOU Wanna stop the party?” And after he was satisfied with a roars of NO from the audience Pit gives the instructions ”Then let’s give it to them Chino!” Driving the crowds into a frenzy!

Feel This Moment was another track that drove the crowd wild while there were lots of other things going on around him in the foreground such as the hugest bunch of colourful balloons with a woman hanging off it doing forward 360 degree flips attached to it.

There is no such thing as having too much of a good thing, like Pitbull. Yet for Pitbull to give more to the crowds he demanded that they too gave him everything that they got as he again turned to his DJ and instructed “ Chino, drop that!” a cue to start, yes you’ve guessed it, Give Me Everything. The part of the performance where Bollywood elite Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif also joined him on stage to cheer him on. Don’t think India got much sleep that night after Pitbull’s excitable performance! Pitbull well and truly dazzled the crowd.

It also seems that Pitbull’s suit survived the frying pan that is the slime at the Kids Choice Awards only to go into the fire of the Indian heat. I got to give it to you Pit, it's one of the hottest times of the year there at the moment and performing in that heat and in a suit must be hot and not as easy as you made it look! But I guess you had your shades on to balance out the 'cool' effect.

They say 'like attracts like' and there are many entrepreneurial similarities between King Khan, Kat and Pit. SRK is a very talented and successful Bollywood actor and is also a bit like Pitbull in that his focus also on other angles and revenue streams other than his core career, and you see him everywhere from films, as a brand ambassador on television, billboards and other media vehicles. King Khan has numerous powerful brand endorsements under his belt such as Hyundai, Nokia, Tag Heur and more recently as an ambassador for mango drink Frooti. Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif is also no stranger to endorsements such as Lux and KODAK! (Snap! Pitbull!) And Pitbull? Well I don't need to go through his empire with you as you already know!

Make no mistake, Pitbull is no stranger to India and India is also no stranger to Pitbull. Pit had a concert there a few years back. But further back then that, I remember going clubbing in India 2005 for the first time in Enigma expecting bog standard commercial music. Hell No! I heard most of Pitbull's M.I.A.M.I hits back to back, and this is all BEFORE YOU COULD HEAR ANY PITBULL SONG IN THE LONDON CLUBS! I was in my element, as my friends who stood on the sidelines watching me dance away whilst mouthing the lyrics word for word, as they clutched at their drinks and shook their heads saying "You do know we ain't gonna be able to get her out of this club now, don't you?"

Pitbull was said to have been treated to various delicacies after his performance (did you enjoy the rasgullas?) Pit, if you got a taste for spice after the trip I cook some mean curries so feel free to pop in, bring The Agents too (and their equipment and we can have one big party!)

Rumour has it that Bollywood beauty Prianka Chopra is collaborating with Pitbull for her next track ‘Exotic’ and was supposed to be whisking Pitbull away after his performance to film the video for the song. THAT is worldwide!
Pitbull, I have to say to you, I am happy and  kicking myself too. Happy that you are really doing the world wide thing and kicking myself in that for the last five years I have a list of questions, some that nobody has yet asked you. One of them, being that “Being Mr World Wide and location-wise performing around most of the globe, would you consider taking world wide to the next level and collaborating with traditional artists in some of these countries who perform songs in their first languages too?” TICK. So that is one question off my list! I hope that one day you will give me a shout and say “HEY Mamita! Lemme do this list of questions with you….Dale!”

I hope that you bagged a Bollywood role while you were out there too Pit!

Let’s all salute the World Wide Party starter, party sustainer, party leader!

Dale! EEEeeyOW!

FEEL THIS MOMENT VIDEO….YEEEOOOW!

As featured on Planetpit.com 18th March 2013

As long as Pit got his suit, shades and red tie, looking so handsome my oh my, he can certainly show his fellow rappers a few thaaangs! What a feel good video, hey folks? Black, white with a tinge of brown sees Pitbull working his own twist of the monochrome look, which is popular this season. Going in line with the lyrics as we ‘seen him with his red tie, tied up’ his neckwear is also something that stands out distinctively throughout the video.
Enjoy the journey as Pitbull takes you on a whistle stop tour of some of his concerts ranging from India to Madrid where you can feel the buzz, energy and ‘lift’ from the other side of the screen as he performs before screaming crowds of fans. You also get to see some of the behind the scenes images and get a feel for the climax building up before Pitbull reaches the stage. Hanging out with his team, a quick shot of him writing a song, whilst also showing us the big equipment containers that are required for the gig. By the way how many microphones were there piled up right at the beginning Pit?
There is a part of the video that has managed to etch itself into my memory and one that makes me glow inside and just smile, that is the moment where Pitbull is on a jet and it’s as if you’re sitting behind him on the plane and he’s looking out of the window to the left and gives a little laugh and smile.
Pitbull is also then caught under the legal act of Don’t Stop The Party as he walks casually down stairs straight out of a jet with what I can only guess is a glass of Voli taking the party to the outside too!
Try not to blink or stick your eyelids up to your eyebrows so you can’t (I’m joking, don’t try this at home kids!) and you may just catch one of my favourite images of Pitbull creating an ad-hoc studio in a hotel room and recording a song with the mattress up against the wall and another where he is recording with his headphones and laptop. PITBULL I REALLY REALLY REALLY would LOVE to watch you record and mix with your laptop and watch the master at work please. To see the magic of your lyrics and beats unfold. I get you, I get your lyrics, I get your music and it’s one of my dreams and things to do on my list before I hit the next milestone age! …. I’ll be quiet as a mouse I promise! I just wanna feel THAT moment.  I think ‘you’re a genius, I mean brilliant!’
The Feel This Moment video is directed by another genius called David Rousseau who also directed Back In Time and Don’t Stop The Party to name a few, (that’s another gentleman whose mind I would like to get into and explore the creativity that goes on behind the scenes of his thought process!). True to the sample of the song Take On Me, David Rousseau takes parts of the video back to the 80’s in true AHA sketch-like style of the video of the original song. And of course, capturing the red tie to the eye so very appropriately in line with lyrics.
And as for Christina? Christina you are responsible for making some of us become a little deluded into thinking that we can sing as amazing as you at the top of our lungs I JUST WANNA FEEL THIS MOMENT, WhOOooOHoH!…each time we see the video, think about or hear the song! Our favourite genie in a bottle Christina Aguilera looks smoking hot with big blonde hair and dressed in a black leather jacket, stylishly zipped. Christina belts out the all the note’s as they should be with her powerful trademark vocals. Christina, we’ve missed you! Welcome back!
The video gives you a still, warm, happy, pink fuzzy feel inside as you get enticed into creating and feeling the moment for yourself whilst being captured and captivated by the song and visuals yet at the same time out of nowhere you also get that burst of energy that makes your body want to dance! How’s that for a versatile mix!
I can’t help but sense that both in the video and song there might be an element of Pitbull himself feeling the moment of when he performs, the travels, and perhaps a moment of private reflection where he is possibly enjoying and appreciative of his achievements from all the hard work. Also of the love and support received from his friends, family, the fans that stand in front of him cheering him on and of course proudly of Team Pitbull as he sings  “I break down companies with all my peeps” And really stops to take all the emotions in while he is on the stage performing away.
“Let’s stop time and enjoy this moment” Pitbull reminds us how to see the future but also not get so caught up in it that you don’t live for the moment and let things pass you by. That life is precious and to enjoy those moments that are life itself ‘but until the gates are open.’  Make sense don’t it? As Pitbull once said “When I say 'Feel this Moment' it is basically, feel life, don't live life for a moment, live life for life, that is your moment”
Pitbull have you ever heard of the Ready Brek Kid in the cereal commercials from the 80/90's? Because each time I watch this video or listen to the song I feel like I'm starting to light up and glow just like him because it feels so good inside.
FEEL THIS MOMENT ? Yes I’m feeling it!
Daleeee YeeeeOW!
