Heymous Molly on the Radio Run

Heymous Molly has been a busy beach bum this week! Mr Life’s a Beach put his drink down and took his toes out of the sand temporarily to run through radio stations on his radio promo tour this week. Getting round quicker than you can say ‘Dale!’ with the re-release of Life’s A Beach which is set to be the anthem for summer 2015 and quite possibly reaching another high by the time it is July the 4th

Heymous has been out there stopping by San Diego’s KyXy 96.5 to give us a smooth ‘afternoon ride’ in their new music lab with a live performance too. Off to Z90.3 (San Diego), Y100.9 FM (Santa Rosa California), Energy 103.7 (San Diego) and 107.9 The End (Sacramento California) so far. I’m not taking the Mickey when I say that Life’s a Beach made it into Radio Disney’s Music Mail Bag this week and with the man himself straight into their studio. The Radio promo run is not over yet!

Keep up with Heymous and join the promo run via @heymousMolly and through other links below to find out more about his radio run where Heymous Molly talks music, career and of course about Pitbull!

Here’s a little TBT from last year when I caught up with Heymous Molly for his first interview in 2014 when he first broke into the music scene.

60 Seconds with Greg Watermann

Known as the Rock Star photographer, Greg Watermann’s spectacular images and videos are what Pitbull does to rhymes.

The energy comes through and can be ‘felt’ through the images and videos by the way in which Greg shoots Pitbull and his team, giving fans a greater and enjoyable sense of the ‘moment’ in that particular shot in time.

I can guarantee we have all seen and reposted Greg’s images with or without even knowing it! Let’s find out more about the talented and remarkable man behind the lens who takes us along on tours and events with Pitbull in images and videos as he tells us about his photography, working with Pitbull and more.

Thank you for sharing and taking us along the journey with you in visuals. Greg Watermann, we salute you!

Thank you Greg for taking the time to talk to me..

When did you first discover your passion for photography?
I got my first camera when I was 7 - I’ve always been a photographer.

Are there any other photographers out there whose style you admire?
Jim Marshall - he’s the grandfather of rock n’ roll photography and my biggest inspiration.

How would you describe your personal style?
Classic - I've been taking pictures the same way for 40 years. I never use a flash and don't need help from Photoshop. I like my images to be real.

Tell me about how you came about photographing Pitbull?
Five years ago, his publicist Tom Muzquiz, felt we shared the same vision and wanted me to tell the story...

What things do you want Pitbull fans to take away from your work?
I want them to see the important moments of his career.

Do you have any particular Pitbull images that you are proud of?
The diploma shot was the first photograph of him to get one million Likes on Facebook, and is known all over the Internet as “The Best Graduation Photo Ever.”

Does Pitbull have a particular 'good side' either he or you prefer to be shot from?
He looks great from any angle, but he loves it when I'm following him. He wants the fans to see his world from his perspective.

Have you encountered any disruptive or funny situations while traveling with and trying to take photos of Pitbull, The Agents or The Most Bad Ones?
I had an army officer point a machine gun at me. We were at an airport overseas and you're not allowed to take pictures (I did anyway). He stood there holding his gun on me while I deleted the photos.

Working with Pitbull, tell me about a momentous or a high point in your career so far..
It was a career high working with CNN. They did a 30 minute news feature on Armando recently and 90% of that show is my video footage and behind-the-scenes photographs. I spent a day at CNN headquarters letting their entertainment editor pour through my hard drives. It was really cool to give a major news organization access to what I capture of him. (See 'With CNN' link below)

What are the best things about working with Mr Worldwide and Team Pitbull?
Having fun is always the most important part of our day.

Pitbull walks so fast, is it hard to keep up with him to get a good shot sometimes?
Absolutely. But I’m a high-energy person which is perfect for following him around.

Do you have any particular Pitbull songs that you enjoy?
“Feel This Moment” - I was shooting in his hotel room in “the tallest building in Tokyo” when he wrote and recorded his verse. And the official video for that song includes my live concert footage from around the world.

Are there any other artists or bands out there that you would like photograph?
Nine Inch Nails is my favorite band - I would love to work with Trent Reznor.

Posed or natural moment shots?
Natural only. Both of us hate posed pictures and we only do it when we have to. Capturing moments is always more interesting than creating them.

Black and white or color photos?
His life and culture are very colorful (so is Miami), but he likes the classic look of black and white too so I mix it up to have more variety.

Teach me something technical about a piece of equipment you use...
I only shoot with available light and lots of places in music are really dark (backstage especially), so I use very fast Zeiss prime lenses and I can shoot no matter where we are.

‘Selfies’ seem to be all the rage at the moment, have you ever taken one yourself?
I like getting get a cool shot of someone/something in a mirror, with me in the background (with a camera in front of my face).

Any basic tips on taking great photographs?
Don’t use the automatic settings (exposure, focus, etc.) Make those decisions yourself and have real control over your photos.

Do you have any words of advice to aspiring photographers out there wanting to make a career out of it?
Yes, keep photography as a hobby and get a real job.

When you see your wonderful images admired and reposted by Pitbull fans around the world, how does that feel?
My purpose is to document Armando's life and Pitbull's journey. Having my art appreciated by his fans is the greatest
feeling in the world.

Thank you so much for your time and also enabling Pitbull fans all over the world to enjoy great images and moments with Mr Worldwide. Thank you for taking us on the journey with you. All the best..

SENSATO DEL PATIO EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW & COMPETITION

Sensato is one of the most dynamic rappers around today. With rhymes that are so fun, fast and witty and music so catchy, it's easy to get caught and sucked into the vacuum of his infectious flow- and want to stay there!

Mr 305 Inc's SENsational SENsato is currently on his European We Ain't Even Supposed To Be Here Tour. Here in London I had the chance to catch up with fabulous Del Patio.

Be sure to stick around afterwards to be in with a chance to WIN Sensato autographed merchandise!

Without further a do, Ladies and Gentlemen...Sensato Del Patio

Welcome to London Sensato and thank you....

How has the tour been going so far?

It’s been really good. Seeing the fans from the other side of the world and to see the songs they like. To get to try and learn the languages hahaha! A great experience.

Do you have any rituals or routines in preparation for shows?

We get together as a team and do a quick run through of the show and based on the crowd I figure out what I’m going to sing.

Your music reaches different audiences- from those whose first language is Spanish, to those that speak a little, to those who speak none and are still able to enjoy your music. Did you ever anticipate that?

No I’m still surprised each time, especially when it’s the non-Dominican community. It’s crazy.

I love your lyrics they’re so fast, fun and witty – where does inspiration come from?

It comes from hip hop, Eminem and my rapping is just me…versatile

Musically who were your biggest influences growing up and the ones today?

Big Pun, Vico C and today it’s Pitbull, Lil’ Wayne and Jay Z.

How did you meet Pitbull and come to work together?

We met when I did Watagatapitusberry and he decided to do the remix and ever since he has been a mentor and has guided my career.

What is Pitbull like to work with?

Pitbull is a teacher and working with him is great because you learn a lot and he’s fun and humble. Always a good time.

You and Pit taught a lot of fans outside Santo Domingo and other parts of the world what Watagatapitusberry means..teach me another Dominican phrase!

Hahaha! There are a lot of phrases I could teach you but it’s better yet if you’re ever in DR you let me know and I’ll teach you there so you can put it to use!

I really love your overall dress sense, style and ‘senswagger!’ Particularly your bowler hat look – Do you have a collection? (Note: I have since fallen in love with his taste in shoes!)

Thank you. I don’t have a collection but I am working on one. I think what I wear just portrays who I am. I dress like this on or off the stage.

Do you have a stylist or put the look together yourself?

On a day to day basis it’s just me but for award shows I do have the help of a stylist.

Looking forward to the Bello video and seen images of the shoot of you taped up.  Can you tell us more about the video?

Bello is going to be a great video because we shot scenes in different parts - like New York and Europe.

A collaboration between you and Pit especially is always a treat for us – can we expect more songs together in the future?

Definitely. We’re always working on new stuff.

Have you done any sight seeing while you’re in London?

Unfortunately I didn’t get to see much besides the club and hotel but I’ll be back!

What’s next Sensato?

To keep working on new music, some great videos and collaborations! Stay tuned!!

Thank you Sensato, it’s been an absolute honour. Come back again! All the best for your future projects.

QUE LO QUE- Otra Vez!

As you're reading this, Sensato is most probably on a plane making his way to Rome to kick off the We Ain't Even Supposed To Be Here Tour while Que Lo Que has just started to blow up again through the social networks.

Que Lo Que features Papayo and what a complimentary combination the pair make with the creation of this dance floor explosion. As this hot track traps me every time I have no idea what to shake first especially after the sequential pauses between the 'un, dos, tres' and 'Que Lo Que ' part rev's it all up again. But before you go off to enjoy some more of Sensato's addictive rhyme-flow below, I got my own version for the great Del Patio! (Have to sing it with a Sensato flow!)

Sensato say 'Hello Sweety, Hello Kitty'
I say 'but I love your rhymes you so fast 'n' witty'
They so fun 'n' make me giddy
London ready - see you in my city!

Pitbull & Enrique Iglesias Tour date Announcements

...And the bromance continues!

Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias almost sent Twitter on the verge of a (Global) Meltdown! The gorgeous and talented 'freaks' asked fans to tweet with the hashtag #enriquepitbulltour for a chance to be selected 3pm EST onwards to announce a tour date.

First up was @Pitbull_Dale305. Followed by many other lucky fans (in no particular order) such as
@_Yolispter, @tyannagiancola, @maheennnnn, @stephslavx3, @Elfan414,@chelita_8_8, @anukriti_tiwari, @kikyloveenrique @heisgalo, @Carlaivey (by this time I think Pit and Enrique pushed twitter almost to its limits as direct messaging seemed to be crashing but all good in the end!), @pitbullgirl115, @Rosecamacho13, @Camiilla_Sarah. Last but by no means least @JRCATS9 closed off with the final date in Orlando, Florida. Congratulations to all those that got picked to announce a date.

I tried my luck (might as well!) by trying to grab their attention with a cheeky line in the image above but it didn't work. Could be that my Brit humour just didn't quite fly!

The tour kicks off in September 12th in New Jersey. Let's have a Euopean one gents we love you out here. Thanks!
